International Pepper Mill

I call this an international pepper mill as it is made from 5 species of wood, each from a different country - Yellow Wood (South Africa), Teak(Zimbabwe), Jatoba (Brazil) Australian Blackwood (Australia) and Poplar (Canada)

Salt and Pepper Mill Set a la Eli Avisera

This set was made as a birthday present and I tried to mimic the technique made famous by Israeli turner Eli Avisera

Fruit Cherry Bowl

When I had to take down a diseased fruit cherry tree in my garden I salvaged as much of the wood as I could. This bowl came out of a triple crotch section of the tree. The one area was full of bark inclusions, resinous gum and voids but adds a natural "design feature". The bowl is one of those you either love it or hate it things.

African Blackwood Gavel Set

This was one of my very early turnings from my "way back when" days in South Africa.
My son now has this set.
