After making the Jim Lorriman inspired stick vase I had one ring left over. After months of trying to think of some use for it I eventually came up with this.
A special request for a 12inch tall salt and pepper mill set came in when I was trying various Celtic knot combinations. I put what I was trying to use in this set.
After completing a hardwood flooring project which involved a curved staircase I had a large quantity of offcuts. I decided to use these to produce a segmented vase. At 17in tall and 10in at the maximum diameter this is the largest turning I have done and really tested my trusty old Record No3 lathe.
